The show opens with Jacob Williams in the ring
Jacob: Igniters welcome to ignition! Here in the ring you have the winner of the first ever ignition main event! The only problem with that is a dq win doesn’t sit right with me. Kent saw the writing on the wall I dragged little Scott Diamond out to uncharted water it was only a matter of time till the shark Killed the pray and that’s when Kent ran out and I got himself involved in my business so if he wants to be involved in that said business I’m going to make sure he is here tonight! In tonight’s main event I will be in the corner of Zac Taylor. Kent I also heard your promo last week and I’ve got to say I don’t run from anybody. No man puts any fear in me but when you go around this locker room I put fear into many. Enough about steroid mountain I want to switch back to Scott Diamond.
The crowd boos
Jacob: I know he’s the last thing anybody wants to talk about but here he is causing me trouble. Scott your more than welcome to accompany Kent out the ring tonight but if you do I promise you this I will beat you pillar to post. Regardless of what happens tonight I’m not done with you. I break Diamonds and I won’t be done with you until I get you one on one inside this ring again.
Jacob: Let’s lighten the mood a little, let’s talk about the Vwf heavyweight championship tournament. Yes I do advance straight into the finals. It was a new ownership’s way of honoring the last of a legacy. I would have gladly been in this tournament and I would have gladly won the tournament but sadly that isn’t the world we live in. The only thing I’m focused on is becoming the first of a new legacy that is greater than the past. I look to the past for lessons but I look to the future for new success and the only thing I see in the future for myself is success.
*Crowd cheers as they see Zac Taylor walk out with a microphone.*
Zac: Last week I had to get through Kent to punch my ticket to the second round and of course Kent did what Golden Age does best being cowards and taking cheap ways out!
*Zac walks into the ring.*
Zac: Tonight I face Kent once again but this time he has someone that is more cowardly than him which is saying a lot, Scott Diamond. But I got my friend the Jacob Williams in my corner to watch my back.
Jacob: That’s…….
A horde of boos fill the arena as Scott Diamond and Kent Lassiter step out onto the stage. Scott has a smirk ear to ear as he addresses the two men in the ring.
Scott: Well well well….. if it isn’t tweedle Dee and tweedle dumb out here spewing their nonsense once again. I mean you all seem to hold grudges from the past, maybe it has something to do with a certain Diamond…..
Scott points to himself before continuing.
Scott: Doing exactly the same thing back to back years? I mean it’s water under the bridge that I did beat both of you back to back years isn’t it?
The crowd boos Scott while he just starts to look annoyed.
Scott: Seriously I mean I’m willing to wash the slate clean and just move on. But I can’t just sit back and let you talk about me like you are. My feelings are truly hurt, after all that I have accomplished in such a young age in this business. I’ve captured heavyweight championships from almost everyone standing out here.
Scott looks back at Kent as Kent stares back confused.
Scott: Sorry Kent you haven’t ever had one I could take.
Scott just shrugged his shoulders like it’s no big deal as Kent looks on furious.
Scott: But seriously guys, I’m the new hot thing in this business. I get it, but at the same time I can’t control how everything just comes easy to me. I mean…….. If I retired today I would be praised for my accomplishments and probably inducted into the wrestling hall of let’s face it. That must eat everyone alive now doesn’t it? Poor Zac Taylor, poor Jacob Williams. One minute you are all buddy buddy, the next minute you guys are at war. Nobody can keep up with the never ending soap opera that is called your life. That is why the Golden Age is like a family. We never hold grudges against each other.
The camera zooms out as Kent is still staring a hole right through Scott. He grabs the microphone from out of his hand.
Kent: Let the grown ups speak for a minute.
The camera pans to Jacob and Zac laughing in the ring at Scott.
Kent: So it’s a fight you want Zac? Doesn’t it get old? Me bashing your face with a steel chair over and over? It never gets old for me. To be honest I wasn’t planning to wrestle tonight, but if Lilly white wants something taken care of, of course she would call on one half of the greatest tag team of all time.
Kent looks back at Scott.
Kent: Can you say that small fry?
Scott is furious as Kent turns his attention back to the ring.
Kent: Sure tonight I’ll be at you all over that ring Zac. I don’t care if your butt buddy Jacob wants to come to the ring. The more the merrier. He can see first hand why it’s a good idea to keep my name out of his mouth. I’ll even let Scott accompany me to ringside to see how to truly swat a fly.
Scott is staring at Kent pissed off as the camera fades to black.
(Earlier This Week – Tony joins Baine for coffee at a local starbucks in Little Rock, Arkansas)
Tony Scott: Everything thats gone down, It’s been pretty rough for you, emotionally and physically, a company closing, and losing your long time tag partner.. how are you feeling?
Baine: If you watch the tapes back, read the news online and everything going on, its clear that the powers that be, if they really wanted my prestegious partner back they’d get him back. It’s no surprise they’re moving in a whole different direction and thats ok. TV, Management, Rachel Cardoza… none of them wanted my partner and friend back, and its a bit of a surprise becuase Rachel has been very loyal over the years to us and she has elevated into the corporate world, and it amazes me how much she’s lost sight and focus on the guys who helped her along the way.
Tony Scott: Those are some strong comments, but lets assume they’re correct, and I’m not doubting you Baine, but you have to understand from the mindset Rachel Cardoza, her board of directors and the TV networks… your parnter does have a bit of a reputation, and it’s well deserved, wouldn’t you agree?
Baine: So do the Kardashians and they’re great actors and it means nothing. So the thing is the only time this place has been popped is when The Prestigious Saints came from beyond, and this place reached heights unlike before. A lot of veterans and guys have come through this place, Dennis Black, David Jackson, The Golden Age Team, Asgaard were all around and they couldn’t get this place to pop and all of a sudden you take away the element and they couldn’t carry the level of fun, intenstiy and quality. The show became stagnant, so personally to me its a big mistake, but we’ll have to see how things shape out. As for Rachel, she knows the quality she’s going to get, she knows what she can have with The Saints however she’s been blinded and manipulated by being a corporate player and running the company line. She can’t stand with a straight face without saying because she knows deep down, the ingredient that makes this place pop isn’t here and it’s running at 50%. Maybe I’m wrong, Maybe I’m right.
(Baine takes a drink from his coffee)
Tony Scott: So the internet is full of rumors, hot lines, dirt sheets, they’re all full of rumors.
baine: Let me make a point, the internet all those bafoons do is take a guy like me and invade my privacy. So look i have a little bit of time left in my career to do something whether its here, there or another place, my time is coming to an end. I’m ont having fun anymore, and I’m tired of watching these guys who are greener then goose shit come in rank themselves and try to politic with the new boss and sit on the injured list for 6 months because they have a hang nail. Fedding has turned into a mockery of what it used to be, you have the biggest company in the world with a bunch of guys running around pretending to be the main event. How can I position myself, motivate myself when I’m headlining a card that opens up with a guy named Cat Bob? How can that motivate anyone to push themselves to obtain greatness? If I’m being honest it almost seems insulting to a lot of guys and guys I’d consider friends PiTBULL and David Jackson. I recently tuned into this premier episode and watched my buddy D-Jack in a match with a rookie who couldn’t wrestle himself out of a bag.
Tony Scott: You mentioned lack of motviation…
Baine: Let me cut you off there because I’m about to head out, it has nothing to do with my free agency currently, my time, my accompolishments or who owns this or that. Rachel knows where she can reach me, and I won’t disclose whether or not she has or hasn’t. But I’m not going to sit here and give out false hope I’m coming back at 50 Percent. I have all the money I need, I have friends, I don’t to wrestle for money anymore, if I come back it’s going to be for fun this time, ride out the last ride. But we’ll see whenever that day may come. You have yourself a great day, thanks for the coffee.
(Baine gets up to leave the sit down interview at Starbucks, and leaves a 20 dollar tip)
