March 11, 2026 — In a landmark moment for the efedding community, Virtual Championship Wrestling (VCW) and Universal Championship Wrestling (UCW) have officially announced a historic co-branding partnership that will unite two of the most dynamic forces in online wrestling today. A deal was truck between Rosita and UCW Owner Donovan Silver.
For more than two decades, the organization now known as VCW has stood as one of the premier homes for competitive player-versus-player online federations. Originally founded in the early 2000s as Elite Online Wrestling (EoW) by visionary creator Mayhem, the promotion quickly became a proving ground for some of the most talented competitors in efedding history.
From its earliest days, cornerstone competitors such as Baine, Dennis Black, Pitbull, and Dane Xavier helped build the foundation that turned EoW into a powerhouse brand. Over the years, countless standout performers have added to the promotion’s legacy, including Kent Lassiter, Eric Phalen, Jacob Williams, Zac Taylor, Matrix, Devin King, Showtime, Ro$ita, and The Golden, each leaving their mark on the federation’s storied history.
In 2022, the company officially rebranded as Virtual Championship Wrestling (VCW)—a move that signaled a new era of growth, innovation, and continued excellence in the efedding world.
Now, VCW takes its next major step forward.
Universal Championship Wrestling (UCW), established in 2023, emerged with a mission to cultivate the next generation of efedding talent. Originally formed through a partnership with Alpha Pro Wrestling (APW), UCW was designed to serve as a developmental and growth platform where rising competitors could sharpen their craft and build their reputations.
UCW began with a single brand known as High Altitude Wrestling, operating out of Denver, Colorado, and launching with a roster of 64 competitors. What began as a modest initiative quickly gained momentum during its inaugural season, as new stars emerged and the federation expanded its reach.
Today, UCW houses multiple competitive brands including MWC, High Altitude, SCPW, and KPW, and features standout talent such as Draven Grimm, Nick Angel, Drago, Selena Grimm, Morgan Mercer, Jaxson Cole, and KC King.
With both organizations continuing to grow, leadership from VCW and UCW have agreed that the time is right to bring their worlds together.
The newly announced partnership will allow competitors from both federations to appear, compete, and clash across brands, opening the door for dream matches and unprecedented rivalries between established legends and rising stars.
The centerpiece of this collaboration will take place later this year at the blockbuster summer supershow “Metropolis.” At this monumental event, the elite of EoW/VCW will collide with the very best that UCW has to offer in a battle for supremacy atop the mountain.
Fans can expect crossover appearances, inter-brand competition, and high-stakes showdowns as competitors from both promotions look to prove which federation truly stands above the rest.
One of the first declarations has already come from VCW standout Ro$ita, who has vowed to bring the ELITE into UCW territory in the near future.
