WCW/nWo Revenge: The Starrcade Edition 2.0 (OUT NOW!)

SSJ_Kratos has put out a highly anticipated update stemming from the highly successful 1.0.

Whats in the update!

Entrance Music

• Entrance Music system and music implemented by RetroRandyPrice
• Themes are assigned per-attire. Some characters have multiple theme songs depending on which costume you select.

Arenas

• 6 new arenas: Thunder, Clash of Champions, Fall Brawl, World War 3, Spring Stampede, and nWo Nitro
• Starrcade 97 updated to Starrcade 98
• Updated Turnbuckle Textures & Polygons for every arena.
• Nitro now has era accuratered turnbuckle pads

Championship Mode

• After unlocking a championship, you will no longer have to complete a gauntlet to compete for a title. After the belt is unlocked, you can challenge for it directly from the Championship menu.
• Champions now wear their title belts for entrances in exhibition mode.
• Triple Crown Support: champions can wear up to 3 championship belts at a time.
• As a result of these feature changes, the Unlock All code can crash your game if you use it and enter a title match. .

Roster

• nWo Wolfpack attires added (Nash = 3rd slot, Everyone Else = Attire 4). Those slots enter w/ the Wolfpack theme.
• Capitalized all names (to match WM2000 & No Mercy)
• Removed Manager from Hogan Costume 3 (Red & Yellow)
• Removed Manager from Mortis costumes 2 & 4 (Kanyon)
• Removed Manager from Wrath costumes 2-4 (Wrath 98)

New Moves

• New Syxx his Grapveine Buzzkill Back Special instead of standing version
• New Feliner Front Grapple Special for Erest Miller

Bugfixes

• Fixed bug that prevented some of the added wrestlers’ apperance and name edits from saving. All wrestlers now fully editable + savable
• Fixed bug with several characters that resulted in invalid chops/floating when attempting elbow drops from the ring apron
• Fixed bugs with several custom/ported moves that resulted in characters warping into the ring if moves were performed at ringside on floor
• Fixed issue with several characters climbing the turnbuckle the wrong way before performing diving moves.
• Fixed bug that prevented opponents from tapping out to Lex Luger’s Torture Rack Special
• Fixed bug with British Bulldog’s stolen finisher
• Fixed bug with Disco Inferno’s Last Dance ground submission
• Fixed bug with Rick Rude’s grapple to opponents on the top rope
• Fixed issue that caused some textures to display incorrectly on original hardware
• Fixed stutter, lag and clipping present during the intro sequence
• Fixed other various gameplay bugs that were reported

Other

• Filesize increase. The rom is now over 64 mb which means it cannot be flashed to an origianl cartridge.
• May have emulator compatability issues. This has been tested on RetroArch, Delta and SummerCart on real hardware. If youre having issues emulating it, that’s on you–you nee to try a different emulator solution.

2:30 am update: Accidentally left Goldberg assigned with 3 titles. I had that in for testing purposes. That accidentally leaked into the release. Anyone who downloaded in first ~2 hours of release has a permanent Goldberg Triple Crown. Download links have been updated with corrected patches.

4:00 am update: Fixed the issue with nWo Nitro replacing WCW Nitro after you play a match in the nWo Nitro arena. Please download the corrected patch from either link if you have a bugged version.

3:30 PM update: Couldn’t let this stay out in the wild with all of the vanilla arenas broken. Fixed that, ALL arenas work again, tested on console.

I know theres some graphics issues with the Championship mode screen and other minor bugs/irregularities that can be cleaned up. I’m retiring from screens and internet for the next few days and wlll get everyhing tightened up upon my return in the next few weeks with a less hyped maintenence patch. It looks like the major bugs are out and its stable enough for the time being.
