Development on WWE 2K26 has officially kicked off, according to a new report from PWInsider Elite. Work on the next entry in 2K’s long-running wrestling franchise is underway, and several WWE Superstars are already involved in production.
The report mentions that multiple performers have begun recording voice lines for the upcoming title. While no specific names were revealed, it’s likely that top WWE talent are lending their voices for story modes, commentary, and in-game dialogue.
New Superstars from TNA and NXT have already begun scanning for potential inclusion in the game next year including Matt and Jeff Hardy, Joe Hendry, Wren Sinclair, Arianna Grace and others.
When Is WWE 2K26 Coming Out?
WWE 2K26 was first confirmed during Take-Two Interactive’s May 2025 earnings call. The publisher noted that the game is slated to launch sometime during its fiscal year 2026, which runs from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026.
The new installment follows the success of WWE 2K25, which launched in March 2025 to positive feedback from fans. That game featured the biggest roster in the series’ history and included special “Bloodline” and “Deadman” editions focused on The Bloodline faction and The Undertaker. A possible John Cena, CM Punk, Bianca Bel Air, Randy Orton or WCW vs WWE showcase have been mentioned online in select circles, but nothing has been confirmed.
What Else Is Coming for WWE Games?
Outside of the mainline release, fans can also look forward to WWE 2K Mobile, which was announced earlier this year as part of Netflix Games. Originally targeting a Fall 2025 release, updates on the mobile project have been quiet since its reveal.
